Liz Loughnan – Senior Consultant
Liz has worked in publicity, promotions, public relations, event management and marketing within the television and entertainment industry for more than 18 years. Starting in the PR department of Channel Nine, Liz became the network’s senior publicist, working with high profile celebrities including Daryl Somers, Derryn Hinch, Ray Martin and many more. Liz also spent time as the Nine Network’s London unit manager, coordinating the London Bureau Office during the Gulf War.
As PR Manager with Optus Vision, Liz successfully launched Disney Channel and Austar to the media and viewing public in the early days of Australian pay television. Liz has also worked as senior publicist with New Idea Magazine and the Seven Network. In 2004 she organised the ticketing, front of house & event co-ordination for the 2004 TV Week Logie Awards.
More recently, Liz developed and implemented plans for the City of Greater Geelong’s involvement in the M2006 Commonwealth Games, including the Queen’s Baton Relay and 12-day Spirit of the Games festival at Steampacket Gardens.
